1918–2004 年，阿联酋开国总统、阿布扎比统治者，被称为“国父”
1946 年起任阿布扎比统治者在东部地区（艾因）的代表，致力于艾因的发展；1966 年继任阿布扎比统治者。1968 年英国宣布撤出苏伊士以东后，他与迪拜统治者拉希德商定组建联邦；1971 年 12 月 2 日阿联酋成立，他出任首任总统直至 2004 年去世。
