Background

The site of Expo 88 has become a 17-hectare riverside park, and the man-made Streets Beach gives this inland city a sea of its own; the Wheel of Brisbane, the Nepal Peace Pagoda and weekend markets make up the slow life of 'Australia's most liveable city'. At night the Story Bridge lights up and the Brisbane River shimmers.

  • Aussie barbecue culture — free barbecues are first come, first served, and you clean up afterwards
  • keep left when cycling by the river.

Religion & beliefs
